Company Culture

We are passionate about shaping the 21st century classroom and creating an environment where the teacher is viewed as a professional and students are expected to succeed. We firmly believe that the teacher is the gateway to the classroom and our focus is to think outside the box and provide innovative ways to help educators and students improve performance. Everything we do is driven by this passion. As a company, we strive to create a professional atmosphere, with intelligent, caring, and hard-working people hold each other accountable. It's a team environment that is focused on making a difference. This passion and teamwork starts at the top with the CEO and quickly filters down to the newest team member. On any given day you will find the CEO or any of the executive team answering phones, meeting with customers, helping ship orders or even editing content. Everyone takes care of customers and everyone wins!

Feedback

In many ways we have a very informal organizational structure. The CEO and the entire executive team have an open-door policy and encourage people to speak up and share opinions. We work hard every day to build a culture of respect and integrity. All levels of management provide constant feedback through weekly meetings. We believe the best way to get both employee and customer feedback is to be in the trenches on a daily basis. Our management team is very hands-on and in touch with the daily operations of each department. They are always willing to listen, give advice, take criticism and suggestions, and always personally willing to take on any task. They lead by example.

Again, evidence of this open door management philosophy starts at the top. Each year our CEO brings in consultants, advisors and other industry leaders to critique our daily operations and give us guidance from an outside perspective. We understand that one person or one company cannot have all the answers; as a result of this openness many of the successful practices we have in place today are a direct result of ideas brought in by an outsider’s feedback.

Driving Success/Morale

In today’s economy there is a lot of pressure to perform and continually be the best. To help keep morale high we have frequent outings on both a company and a departmental level. We also communicate often and in detail about what is going on in the company and in our industry. As part of our team environment we also give each employee specific goals and challenge them to grow both personally and professionally. We really stress a “team win” and try to hire people who have a strong affinity for a team environment like ours.
